Brown confirms - The 'LABOREENS'

A vote for the Greens is really a vote for Labor and a vote for Labor is really a vote for the Greens

“Today’s announcement by Greens Leader Bob Brown that he has struck a preference deal with Labor confirms what we always suspected,” Senator Abetz said today.

Federal Election 2010 - Tasmanian Liberal Team

As we go into this election Tasmanians know they can’t trust Ms Gillard – not even for 10 minutes – just ask Kevin Rudd!

After having made a deal she broke it within 10 minutes.

LABOR Blames LABOR for Tasmanian Cancer Services Debacle

Labor has sunk to a new low today with Prime Minister Gillard again passing the buck on Tasmanian cancer services, laying the blame squarely at the feet of the Tasmanian State Labor Government.

Questioned during her visit to Tasmania today by journalists about Labor’s failure to provide adequate cancer radiation treatment services for cancer sufferers in the State’s North West, Ms Gillard said she was not to blame as, “The Tasmanian Government did not apply for radiation oncology services when they were being sought under the regional cancer services program.”

The decision by Fair Work Australia Vice President Watson is indicative of the Rudd/Gillard Government’s ‘straight jacket – one size fits all’ approach to industrial laws and means thousands of young Australians will now miss out on jobs.

Spinning Rapidly

I’m perplexed by today’s media release from Julie Collins and Justine Elliott who, following their visit to Hawthorn Village aged care facility at Blackmans Bay would have us believe that Julia Gillard is somehow responsible for the construction of their new dementia wing.

Minister Elliott and Ms Collins toured the 13-bed dementia wing that was constructed with the assistance of a $1 million capital grant from the Gillard Government.

Another Rudd/Gillard Bureaucratic Disaster

Simon Crean should spend less time talking up the so called benefits of getting into bed with his old comrades in the union movement as industrial partners in the workplace and devote more time to fixing the industrial relations mess left for him to clean up by his predecessor Julia Gillard.

Since Labor’s new ‘so called’ Modern Awards scheme kicked in on the 1st of July, my office has been inundated with complaints from workers and small business owners struggling to understand Labor’s new laws and frustrated by the complete lack of information and support from Labor’s Fair Work bureaucracy.
