Tasmania Dudded on Cancer Funding - Roxon Misled Tasmanians

Federal Labor funding of cancer services to Tasmania was slashed by $29 million in a deal between Federal and State Labor, it has been revealed at Senate Estimates to the Tasmanian Liberal Senate Team.

Under questioning by Tasmanian Liberal Senator Eric Abetz on behalf of the Tasmanian Liberal Senate Team, the Health Department acknowledged Tasmania had sought funding of $47 million and was told by Federal Labor to resubmit an application for $29 million less.

Labor's 38 Million Dollar Taxpayer Funded Farce

Labor’s 38 million dollar taxpayer funded advertising campaign has descended into farce after it’s been revealed that nobody on the other end of Labor’s publicised hotline information number has any information about the proposed mining tax.

Labor have expelled so much hot air over recent days attempting to justify their reasoning for squandering millions of dollars of taxpayer money on their information campaign on the premise that it was a national emergency and the Australian people needed to be urgently informed about so called misinformation.

Even Fair Work Ombudsman Confused about Labor's Modern Awards

The Fair Work Ombudsman has made a startling admission, under questioning in Senate Estimates that, unbelievably, his office is unable to provide definitive advice to small business owners.

Fair Work Ombudsman, Nicolas Wilson, responding to a question from Shadow Workplace Relations Minister, Senator Eric Abetz, indicted that that any advice the Ombudsman’s office was able to give, if at all, is guidance, as opposed to advice that could be relied upon.

Move to Reconvene FPA Estimates over Government's Advertising Scandal

The opposition will move for a special Senate inquiry into Labor’s mining tax advertising scandal after Labor deliberately hid the exemption from Senate Estimates last week.

 Senator Ludwig sat through his Estimates this week without showing any indication of this campaign being urgent knowing full well the decision had already been made.

Higher Superannuation Guarantee = Lower Wages for Workers

“The Federal Treasury has today confirmed that Australian workers will have lower take home wages over coming years as a result of Labor’s proposal  to raise the superannuation guarantee from nine to twelve percent”, Senator Eric Abetz said today.

“Giving evidence to the Senate’s Economic Committee today, Treasury Secretary Ken Henry confirmed that an increase in the superannuation guarantee would be paid out of the wages of Australian workers, rather than company profits”.*
