Another Day, Another Labor Talk-fest
“The best thing that Labor can do to protect Australian jobs is to axe their job destroying Carbon Tax,” Senator Abetz said today.
“Today's forum is just another talk-fest so Labor can talk about talking about making decisions without actually making any.”
“What we’ve seen over recent days is the Labor ‘spin-cycle’ in overdrive and today’s so-called Jobs Forum will be more of the same.”
“How can Labor expect the Australian people to believe they are serious about creating jobs when they are introducing a Carbon Tax which will destroy jobs?”
“Earlier this year, union heavyweight Paul Howes said “if one job is gone, our support [for the carbon tax] is gone”.”
“Paul Howes should have the courage of his convictions and follow through with his comments at today’s forum,” Senator Abetz said.
“If Paul Howes is really serious about representing the people who work in the manufacturing industry in this country and he’s serious about protecting Australian jobs then he should stand up at today’s jobs forum and call on Labor to axe it’s job destroying Carbon Tax.”
“That’s the starting point for today’s Labor talk-fest, if you want to protect Australian jobs, get rid of the job destroying Carbon Tax,” Senator Abetz said.
