As we go into this election Tasmanians know they can’t trust Ms Gillard – not even for 10 minutes – just ask Kevin Rudd!

After having made a deal she broke it within 10 minutes.

So any promises she makes to cancer sufferers or about regional boards for hospitals or job security for forest workers – we know she’ll dump the promise as quick as makes it.

Labor has left Tasmania worse off. We have been neglected and taken for granted.

I believe all the seats in Tasmania are winnable by the Liberals.

In Bass Labor has the legacy of a dud Member.

In Braddon the member who sold out forest workers in 2004 sold out the mine workers in 2010 and has been strangely silent (yet again) on forestry.

In Lyons and Franklin we have no achieving members and one, who when put in front of a TV camera, can’t even explain Labor policy.

In Denison the Labor member is retiring.

The Liberals have strong local popular candidates. In Bass we have the high profile and popular former TV newsreader Steve Titmus.

In Braddon, Gary Carpenter has the experience of small business, farming and sports administration.

In Lyons Eric Hutchinson is widely experienced and known in the rural sector and has a knowledge of the electorate second to none.

In Franklin we have a young dynamic small business woman who did exceptionally well in the Sate election in Jane Howlett.

In Denison we have Cameron Simpkins – a former army major and bank manager who will take the fight up to Labor with his wide business experience.

Our Senate team is by the far the best in Tasmania with a record of advancing Tasmania’s interest and producing results.
