“The findings by Fair Work Australia confirming the Hull Moody Finishes agreement allowing workers a substantial pay increase in exchange for other entitlements is the type of innovation and flexibility we need in our workplaces,” Senator Eric Abetz said today.

“There is no doubt the workers are better off. They want the deal.”

“But here we have the patronising ACTU telling workers they should settle for the union negotiated award of $40,000 per annum, instead of the deal which sees the workers earn $65.000.”

“The ACTU’s ham-fisted attitude of ‘one size fits all’ hold workers and their enterprises back,” Senator Abetz said.

“With decreasing productivity impacting on our economy we need to celebrate deals that see workers and enterprises better off.”

“This agreement proves there is mutual benefit in innovative work practices,” Senator Abetz said.
