“Australians should be very wary of the consequences of the grubby Labor-Green deal on job security and cost of living,” Opposition Senate Leader, Senator Eric Abetz said today.

“The terms of the preference deal are being deliberately withheld from the Australian people and they are entitled to know its terms.”

“It defies any sense of transparency that Ms Gillard claims she has no knowledge of the deal,” says Senator Abetz.

“Are the same puppet masters that installed Ms Gillard doing deals behind her back like they did to Kevin Rudd?”

“Given Labor has no announced policies, the Greens have either given their preferences to Labor for nothing  or they know what Labor will do after election day.”

“Labor needs to come clean and explain how their deal with the Greens will assist job security and put downward pressure on the cost of living. Of course it will do neither.”

“Labor has reverted to type – do anything, say anything before the election simply to get re-elected,” says Senator Abetz.

“The Greens are anti the resource and manufacturing sectors of our economy.”

“They believe in big taxes.”

“They are against private health insurance and choice in schooling.”

“They would kill job security with their unrealistic and extreme policies.”
