Labor's 'Cash for Comrades'

“Just weeks into the New Year and Labor’s ‘Cash for Comrades’ program is in full swing as the Rudd Government shamefully continues handing out bucket loads of taxpayer money to it’s trade union backers”.

“A little over a week since Julia Gillard swung open the doors to the taxpayer vault and threw $10 million dollars at the unions in a vain attempt to re-educate them about her failed workplace re-regulation, the Rudd Government is at it again, splashing out a further $20-thousand dollars to unions Tasmania for a so-called ‘research project’.”

“Labor’s latest cash splash to the unions, apparently so they can better understand women’s participation in the workforce, is nothing more than a $20-thousand dollar taxpayer funded pre-election gift to the union movement as pay back for them bankrolling Labor at the last election,” says Senator Abetz.

“No amount of spin doctoring by Julia Gillard, Penny Wong or Kevin Rudd can disguise the fact that Rudd Labor is responsible for plunging the Australian economy more than 100 billion dollars into debt”.

“Labor’s economically reckless spending spree must stop. It will take generations of Australians to undo the damage Labor has done to our nation and throwing bucket loads of money at the union movement is not the way to do it”.
