I’m perplexed by today’s media release from Julie Collins and Justine Elliott who, following their visit to Hawthorn Village aged care facility at Blackmans Bay would have us believe that Julia Gillard is somehow responsible for the construction of their new dementia wing.

Minister Elliott and Ms Collins toured the 13-bed dementia wing that was constructed with the assistance of a $1 million capital grant from the Gillard Government.

If Julie Collins is to be believed Julia Gillard has miraculously made the new wing appear overnight even though she has only been in the job for a few weeks.

Labor can’t have it both ways. Either Ms Gillard WAS THERE for every decision or SHE WASN’T!

The dishonest Labor spin is that anything good in the last two and a half years was because of Julia Gillard and anything bad was because of Kevin Rudd.

All pretty hollow and shallow, showing the same propensity for spin over substance.
