The Tasmanian Liberal Senate Team extends our condolences to the family of Sue Napier.

As a long serving State Liberal member in Bass, Sue helped literally thousands of people from all walks of life.

Sue – as a long term Minister, Deputy Premier and Leader of the Liberal Party, was a trail blazer for women in politics, all achieved on the basis of her hard work and individual merit.

Sue was recently honoured with Life Membership of the Party, acknowledging her life of service and devotion to Liberalism from her days in the Young Liberal Movement through to Party Leader, and an ongoing volunteer after her retirement.
