Dominic College Celebrates $2.5 million Creative Arts Centre
The Fra Angelico Creative Arts Centre at Dominic College was recently opened by Tasmanian Liberal Senator Eric Abetz.
The $2.5 million centre will provide up to date facilities for the primary and secondary school population of about 900 students at Dominic College. The school first started 70 years ago with 30 students.
Senator Abetz praised the commitment of the Catholic and school community to excellence in their educational offerings.
“This commitment is shown by the fact that roughly 80% of the cost has come from the community with just $450,000 being contributed by the taxpayer.
“The parental and community contribution is substantial and indicates how strongly they value and support their school. It is a delight to share their vision and provide real practical support in its realisation.”
“The opportunities education provides in all its facets remains a priority for the Liberal Government.”
