Further Sexual Harassment complaints at ABC

News reports that three women have come forward to lodge sexual harassment complaints relating to on-set conduct on the ABC show, The Doctor Blake Mysteries, requires a review of the policies and practices at the ABC.

While it appears this show was commissioned by the ABC, this is the latest in a string of sexual harassment cases within the ABC dating back as far as 40 years – including a case where a minor was sexually harassed while taking part in the show Totally Wild.

“It is now clear that a review of the ABC’s policies and protocols relating to sexual harassment must be undertaken,” Senator Abetz.

“When you have a constant stream of sexual harassment allegations, many of which take months and indeed years to be progressed you have to wonder if the organisational structures are in place to properly deal with these issues.”

“I have lodged a number of Questions on Notice to seek further information from ABC management about these latest allegations,” Senator Abetz concluded.
