Gillard leaves Tasmania off the map again

“Tasmania has missed out again in the ‘latest’ reshuffle of Ms Gillard’s ever-revolving door of Ministerial and Parliamentary appointments,” Senator Abetz said today.

“In every other State there was a promotion for somebody, but Tasmania has completely missed out.”

“On Friday an upbeat Sid Sidebottom was talking up the prospects of taking over the Regional Development portfolio, sadly it seems Sid’s been sidelined once again.”

“Of course none of this should be surprising,” Senator Abetz said.

“The fact that the Prime Minister’s so-called ‘new-look’ Ministry doesn’t include any new appointments within Tasmania’s Labor ranks is indicative of the disappointing lack of quality amongst Labor’s Tasmanian representatives in Canberra.”

“The Tasmanian Liberal Party on the other hand continues to actively engage the community to develop ways to help Tasmania grow and prosper into the future.”

“Simply ignoring Tasmania as Labor does is not the answer to Tasmania’s problems,” Senator Abetz said.
