New facilities at Southern Christian College in Kingston were opened by Tasmanian Liberal Senator Eric Abetz today.
Students and staff at Southern Christian College now have full use of a new science laboratory and three general learning areas. The Federal Liberal Government provided $200,000 in funding towards the project.
“Current and future students at Southern Christian College will benefit from the new science laboratory and new learning areas for generations to come,” Senator Abetz said.
“The Federal Government contributed $200,000 towards this $1.1 million project which has mostly been funded by the parents and local community.”
“The Federal Liberal Government is committed to putting science, technology, engineering and mathematics at the heart of school education. It is critical to our nation’s future that more students study science and maths subjects.”
“Today’s opening shows the real benefits that can be achieved when the Government partners with parents and the local community,” Senator Abetz concluded.
